• Omsons Brix Hydrometers are calibrated to show the percentage of sucrose by weight at 20°C. The Brix Scale is based on the following: 1° Brix = 1% sucrose by weight at a specific temperature (20°C). The data of the National Bureau of Standards are used.

• The thermometer scale for Omsons Hydrometers (w/ Thermometers) is located in the body. The thermometers have a range of 0 to +50°C or +30 to 150°F with a 1° subdivision. A correction scale for conversion of readings to 20°C or 68°F is printed opposite the temperature scale.
